We advise applying at least three months before your school's pre-IT exams. This gives companies time to organise interviews or pre-training exercises before your internship or industrial training begins.
University students in their 3rd or 4th year, and polytechnic students due for industrial training, are eligible. You must be a current student with a valid registration number to apply. SiwesConnect is strictly for internship and industrial training placement — not general labour market employment.
Yes. Your profile includes a preferred state and city, which you can use to filter and browse open placements in your desired location. Note: companies do not provide accommodation for student interns — that's your own responsibility.
No problem — since placements are self-serve, you can simply browse other open placements matching your department and state at any time. New matching placements also notify you automatically as soon as a company posts one, so you're never limited to a single option.
After registering, you'll complete a one-time ₦2,000 registration fee to activate your account. From there, you can browse open placements filtered by state and department and apply directly with a short message. Companies review your profile and application, and you'll be notified the moment they accept or reject it. You can log in at any time to view or edit your profile.
